Lilly's Spring Break

Lillian went to Corpus Christie for Spring Break with her ROTC unit. The first night they stayed in a hotel, and the second night she stayed on the ship the USS Lexington. She received a patch for her stay on the USS Lexington.

This is a picture from left to right: Me, Jeseika, and Tim. Then she taped a plant on the picture for a tree. Apparently from the picture, I have purple hair. Jeseika likes to give me hugs. Grandpa has a big head with big ears!!! I love children's pictures!!!!!!!!!!

The poll added on this page. (Lower right) Governor Bobby Jindal & Governor Sarah Palin have both performed exercisms. Which got me to thinking, do many people do this? Seriously, some people voted for Palin, and some others are thinking of voting for Jindal. While I personally think performing exercisms is more than a bit weird, perhaps this is normal behavior for some people.

ADHD or what .........

I am beginning to think Joshua might be ADHD. I have REALLY been working with him lately. He will begin to give me an answer to a question, and in the middle of his answer he will start talking about something totally different.

For example: Last night Josh and I were working on his Personal Finance homework. We were discussing scarcity of recourses and how it means choices must be made. I said to Josh, “If you had all the money in the world what would you want.” He answered an Xbox 360 of my own for my bedroom and clothes from Rue 21. So I said, “Pretend you have $300, you cannot buy both, which would you choose.” Then he said, “Rue 21 clothes, because I don’t think you and daddy would like me play, but you know if Lilly and I take turns cleaning the backyard. She could do it one week. Then I could do it the next.” Frustrated, I said, “Josh focus! Let’s get your work done.” He replied, “but mom all of it is in my head, I am focused, but I have other stuff in my head, too” The moment he said that, my mind flashed back over all the times I have said “focus” to Joshua.

So now I don’t know if this is some manifestation of his Autism or if maybe re really does have ADHD. I found a web site that says:

Perhaps the most important question to ask about ADHD is if the child's hyperactivity or, lack of enthusiasm toward school or, poor grades, disruptive behavior or other symptoms poses an obstacle to the child reaching his or her potential.

This was Lilly's first fire. She built this fire all by herself!!!!!
